Jennifer Jung, 46, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2017, with her husband and family by her side in Los Angeles, California.

A memorial service was held on June 10 at UCLA Luskin Center in Los Angeles, California.

She was born January 16, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea to Chang Yong and Ki Kwon and immigrated to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1982 and then to San Jose, California in 1984.

Jennifer was the first child of many grandchildren on her mother’s side and considered herself the queen and leader from the beginning. She was the captain of her flag team at Homestead High School where she graduated in 1989. She attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles where she studied economics and international relations, graduating in 1993. Jennifer met Daniel while both were working at UCLA and they married in May, 2000.

She devoted nearly all her professional life to the campus working at UCLA Development with a brief stint at House Ear Institute in 2005 where her leadership skills flourished before returning to UCLA in 2008. She was an active member of the Westwood House Home Owners association, and dedicated her life to fundraising and helping leaders accomplish their visions.

Her interests included spending time with family, reading, and organizing. She devoted much of her time and energy caring for her husband and family members, including her retired parents.

Jennifer Jung is survived by her husband, Daniel Jung; sister, Inyong Kim; parents, Chang Yong & Ki Kwon; nephews, Darren and Davis Kim; nieces, Danielle, Stephanie, and Joelle Jung.
